Qollab is excited to share the latest findings from the I stand out! survey prepared by Élie and Gui, two members of the Jeunes Chercheur·e·s Queers program!. The report sheds light on the diverse experiences and realities of 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth in relation to their gender identity/ies. Understanding the language 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth use to define themselves and listening to their personal stories is key to providing effective support to them.
The data presented in this report is from I stand out! (2021-2022), an online survey developed with participants of the Jeunes Chercheur·e·s Queers program. The survey aimed to better understand experiences of menalal health, substance use, stigma and resilience among 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth aged 15-24 in Canada.
