SURVEY

The Cannapix survey aims to better understand the cannabis use habits of 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth in Quebec and their needs for targeted interventions and education. The survey is open to individuals aged 18 to 24 who identify as 2S/LGBTQIA+ and live in Quebec.

Towards an inclusive healthcare system

2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals in Quebec and elsewhere are significantly more likely than heterosexual and cisgender individuals to report unmet health needs or barriers to accessing healthcare services. The primary objective of this study is to describe the healthcare access experiences of 2S/LGBTQIA+ communities and identify ways to render healthcare access more equitable and inclusive.

CANNAPIX -
CELLPHILM

The Cannapix - Cellphilm project explored the experiences and harm reduction strategies of LGBTQ+ youth who use cannabis. Using the cellphilm method —a participatory, video-based approach - this project engaged 30 young people aged 18 to 24 living in Quebec, in three online workshops.

Pride Talk

Pride talk is an innovative research project that aims to develop an online training to equip 2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals to be more alert to their peers who are thinking of suicide and to be able to connect them with further help.

CANNAPIX -
PHOTOVOICE

Cannapix explores the perspectives and experiences of 2S/LGBTQIA+ youth at the intersection of mental health and cannabis use. Forty-six 2S/LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 15 to 24 and residing in Quebec took photographs related to their cannabis use, mental health and sexual and gender identities.

Faced with the threat of COVID-19, the government of Quebec declared a health state of emergency in March 2020 and swiftly implemented a series of measures to limit the spread of the virus, including the confinement of older adults due to their increased risk of serious consequences in the event of infection.
